Our Story
Little Ducklings was established in 2019 by two local childminders offering full day care for children aged 6 months up to 8 years. Having previously worked in a variety of childcare settings for many years, offering the highest standard of care is of absolute paramount which we believe all children should have the chance to experience.
It soon became clear that our older children were outgrowing us and in 2020 our Afterschool club was launched. This is solely for the children that attend Seer Green Church of England Primary School. The children are collected from the school and walked back to the local Baptist church where After School Club runs from. The children can attend from Reception up until they leave for secondary school.
Shortly after this the opportunity to move to a small nursery setting for our younger children became available. In September 2021 after a full refurbishment and a big investment in resources and equipment, our children that we were childminding joined the current children at the nursery and then Little Ducklings Day Nursery and Pre school was formed.
Coming from such a homely environment it was extremely important to us that this was recreated at the nursery. Remaining a small nursery means we have limited space ensuring all of our children can be cared for and nurtured individually as you would at home. We provide a calming environment enabling children to feel safe which supports a relaxing atmosphere to learn and grow.
